Shotgun Skills - Module 1 (Discovering Clay Target Shooting)
The first module in the Shotgun Skills Program gives the student the opportunity to discover the basic of handling a shotgun including safety and the importance of safe handling, for both Clay and Game, personal protection equipment, basic gun handling skills and how to hit a moving target under supervised instruction on the range.

On completion of module 1 you will receive a CPSA Academy Certificate - Discovering Clay Target Shooting.

Advanced Shotgun Skills - Module 3
In this third level of training, you will learn to shoot from the "Gun Down" position, to use a variety of methods "Swing Through" "Maintained Lead" "Cut Off" and "Spot" to evaluate and understand appropriate use and execution of these various methods of shooting a target.

Discipline Proficiency - Module 4
This is an advanced progressive and flexible programme to introduce students to all aspects of the chosen discipline from rules to developing skills and techniques to improve scores.
Our coach will be able to provide suitable and bespoke tuition for your needs.

Students can receive recognition of their achievement so once each module is successfully completed you will be awarded a CPSA produced badge and/or certificate (depending on the module completed).

Shotgun Skills - Module 2
The second module in the shotgun skills programme, this course enables the student to continue their experience in shotgun handling, introducing the theory session covering safety, gun handling, eye dominance, gun fit, mount, stance and the CPSA Method of hitting a moving target.

You will also learn about the types of Shotguns, Cartridges, Chokes, Proof, Shotguns and the Law, Personal civil liability Insurance and Gun Cleaning before proceeding on to the range where we can put what has been learnt in to practice.

On completion of module 2 you will receive a CPSA Acadamy Shotgun Skills Certificate recognised by CPSA affiliated shooting grounds showing that you are safe to handle a shotgun without supervision.

Under the CPSA Academy banner, Rob is an experienced CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) registered coach and referee, authorised to provide the CPSA Shotgun Skills Programme.

This is a convenient modular programme of training with which to progress clients from beginner to proficiency in the discipline of their choice. (Sporting, Skeet or Trap)

The CPSA Shotgun Skills Programme comprises of four modules, which are:

CPSA Shotgun Skills Diploma Course Module 1 & 2 £100 per person including up to 50 clays and cartridges, 

use of shot gun and safety equipment.

The CPSA Shotgun Skills programme is a course accepted by Firearms Licensing Authorities and Suitable for “Duke of Edinburgh” Award Scheme.
